For years, I’ve been the person who hears, “You should sell these!”

Sometimes “these” were chunky knit blankets. Sometimes they were shirts, candles, handmade gifts, or whatever creative side quest I had fallen in love with that week. But no matter what I was making, I realized the part I loved most was creating something meaningful for someone I cared about.

As a mental health therapist, I’m a big believer in caring for the whole person—not just getting through the day, but making room for the things that help us feel like ourselves. For me, creativity has always been part of that. It’s where I recharge, follow my curiosity, and find joy in turning an idea into something tangible—especially when that something is meant for someone I love.

So after years of telling others to make space for the things that bring them joy—and years of hearing “you should sell these!”—I finally decided to listen.

And Beck & Bloom began to grow.

The name has a little more meaning than you might think. Beck is a nod to me—Bekah—blooming into this new role as a maker and creative business owner. But it also comes from the idea of beckoning: an invitation to notice, celebrate, and hold onto the beautiful parts of life.

Because that’s really what I hope to create here.
